Dr. Deb’s research focuses on the quality of care provided to patients with cardiovascular emergencies both while arriving to the emergency department (prehospital medicine) and in the emergency department. He is particularly interested in ischemic heart disease, valvular disease, life-threatening arrhythmias, and congestive heart failure. Further, he is interested in understanding, identifying, and addressing healthcare system inequities so that everyone can get the same level of high quality care, irrespective of their sociodemographic background.
